The Toddler Room – Cherries

Our toddler room caters for children aged between 2-3 years. There are 2 rooms for this age range. One is a main playing and learning room and the other room is a room for a sole purpose of Role play. Children of this age love to make believe and pretend play. We like to ensure that our children have the opportunities to experience this.

Staff in the two year old room are very experienced with working with this age, helping them to character build and begin to learn social skills and boundaries of relationship building. The ratio in this room is now 1:5 but at times we still still practice the 1:4 ratio. All staff in this room are first aid trained.

The children have access to a smaller side garden which is dedicated to this age only, which enables the children to free- flow between the indoors and outdoor area as they please. They will also have access to the larger garden at allocated times where they can build their physical skills.
