How to Apply for a Place

First of all, please don’t worry about placing your child in Nursery. Children settle down quite quickly and then begin Learning to Play!

To gain a place, please see the following steps:

  1. Complete a “Place Enquiry Form” in the “Contact Us” menu on this website. If you can include all the required information, including any funding numbers.
  2. The Nursery Manager will receive the Place Enquiry Form, and then contact you to answer any questions. Due to Covid restrictions at present to minimise risk. We are happy to answer any of your questions.
  3. If a place is not immediately available, the Nursery Manager will let you know, and if you wish to, the child will be placed in the waiting list.
  4. If a place is available that meets your requirements, the Nursery will ask you to collect a registration pack containing all the forms. Please complete this at home and bring back to the nursery as soon as possible. Also we will need to see the Child’s Birth Certificate and the “Red Book” containing all the immunisations for the child.
  5. When the forms have been received back and checked, .the Nursery Manager will contact you about the start date, and arrange for a deposit to be taken (if applicable). The Manager will arrange settling-in visits, which are usually 1 week before the agreed start date. There is no charge for these and are usually 1 hour long. You will also have an opportunity to read the Nursery Policies and Procedures.
  6. When the child attends for the first time, staff will contact you if there are any concerns or the child is upset in any way. Please ensure you bring all the items needs, such as Dummies, Comfort toys, etc the child has. Also, any medicines must be labelled and left in the nursery.
  7. You will receive communications and information on Tapestry and you will be able to add to the child’s learning journey from home too.
  8. Finally, we are on email or phone if you have any issues or concerns.
