The Pre School

Our preschool room is spread across two large rooms and also has a covered outdoor space. One room is a learning room which is calming, here we can find spaces for maths, english and small computer area. The other room is classed as the ‘messy room’, this room is where the children are able to access the arts and crafts at their leisure, to use their imaginations to create some fabulous artwork and models.

The lower garden has a full shelter, this allows the children to access the outdoors no matter what the weather. Out here we have sand, water, mud kitchen, growing areas as well as some PE resources. The children absolutely love this area, it is where we can find the majority of the children throughout the day.

Staff in this room are highly trained and very experienced with working with children aged 3-5 years. The staff focus on building the children’s independence and social skills, which they will need to take with them when they transition to school. The ratio in this room is 1:8, all staff are first aid trained.

The children in this room have allocated access to the large garden where they are able to manage risks and develop their physical skills.
